Turnover Intention of Workers with Disability and Related Variables

Abstract
The number of workers with disabilities have increased rapidly in recent Korea, but there is seldom systematic empirical research on turnover intention of workers with disabilities. In this regard, this study attempts to classify personal factors, business factors and occupational factors related to turnover intention of workers with disabilities and tries to identify and analyze the related factors on turnover intention of workers with disabilities.
For the purpose, this study used ¡®Primary Disability Employment Panel Survey (2008)¡¯. The subjects of this study were 1,212 paid employees among the 5,092 subjects in the panel. The statistical methods used for data analysis were descriptive statistics, correlations and hierarchical logistic regression analysis with SPSS for window 19.0.
In the result, turnover intention of workers with disabilities was lower when the duration of continued service increased, shifts were available, the job is matched workers with disabilities aptitudes, continued service was available and occupational satisfaction was higher.
From the result of this study, we can insist that it is necessary to develop appropriate jobs for workers with disabilities, to provide a special training chance to develop their potential abilities, and to pay various forms of welfare salaries considering their physical and mental characteristics. Also, we should help for workers with disabilities to keep their job for a long time and promote their employment status.
